We take privacy seriously. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

FellowPath (“FellowPath”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) provides online exam-preparation tools for medical practitioners. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal information when you use our website and services. It is written to reflect our obligations under the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

1. Overview

We collect only the personal information we genuinely need to deliver the service, keep your account secure, and improve the platform over time. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

By using FellowPath, you confirm that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the service.

2. Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials. You may optionally provide additional profile details such as your stage of training or exam target date.

Usage and learning activity

We record how you interact with the platform: questions attempted, answers selected, time spent, flags and notes you create, and progress through study plans. This information powers the analytics and recommendations that make the product useful.

Payment information

When you purchase an access pass, payment is processed by our third-party payment processor. We do not store your full card number or security code. We retain transaction metadata such as amount, date, currency, and processor reference for accounting and dispute resolution.

Device and log data

Our servers automatically receive technical information when you visit, including IP address, browser type, operating system, referring pages, and timestamps. This is used for security, fraud prevention, and to diagnose issues.

Communications

If you contact us by email or through a form, we keep a record of the message and our response so we can follow up properly.

3. How we use information

  • To create and operate your account.
  • To deliver the practice, mock-exam, and analytics features of the platform.
  • To personalise study recommendations based on your activity.
  • To process payments and grant access to paid features.
  • To communicate with you about your account, important updates, and changes to the service.
  • To respond to your enquiries and provide support.
  • To monitor, secure, and improve the platform, including detecting fraud and abuse.
  • To comply with legal obligations and to enforce our Terms of Service.

Under Australian law and equivalent privacy frameworks, we handle your personal information where it is necessary to perform our contract with you, where we have a legitimate interest that is not overridden by your rights, where you have given consent, or where we are required to do so by law.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers. We use trusted third parties for hosting, payment processing, email delivery, error monitoring, and analytics. They are contractually required to handle your information only for the purposes we specify and to protect it appropriately.
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, to respond to lawful requests from authorities, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of FellowPath, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers. If FellowPath is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the protections described in this policy.

6. International transfers

Some of our service providers may store or process information outside Australia. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information receives a similar level of protection to that required by the Australian Privacy Principles.

7. Data retention

We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution requirements. You can request that we delete your account and associated personal information at any time, subject to our legal obligations to retain certain records.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to request correction of inaccurate information, and to request deletion. You may also withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link or contacting us directly.

If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information and you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.

9. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include encryption in transit, access controls, and regular review of our security practices. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of any information you transmit to us.

10. Children

FellowPath is intended for adults preparing for professional medical examinations. The service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

11. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential functions such as keeping you signed in, remembering preferences, and understanding how the platform is used so we can improve it. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising. Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies, though doing so may affect how the service works.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices, technology, or legal requirements. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the service or by email before those changes take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.

13. Contact us

Questions, requests, or complaints about this policy or our handling of your personal information should be sent to support@fellowpath.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
